دور القيادات الجامعية في تعزيز مفهوم الاستدامة لدي طلاب الجامعة الإسلامية بالمدينة المنورة
Abstract
The study aims to identify the role of university leadership in fostering the concept of sustainability among students at the Islamic University of Madinah. Furthermore, it examines their level of awareness regarding national initiatives and university-led sustainability programs, as well as the impact of university leaders in influencing and modifying their behavior. Also, whether there were statistically significant differences between Saudi and non-Saudi students in behavior or awareness of initiatives. The research employed a descriptive survey methodology, used a questionnaire as a research tool, and was applied to a sample consisting of (325) students. The study results concluded that university leadership plays a positive and active role in promoting sustainability concepts and practices, as the general index achieved an average of (3.76), indicating a “high” evaluation level. The leadership role of the university administration in encouraging sustainable behaviors within the campus ranked second with an average of (3.81), confirming students’ conviction in the tangible practices and initiatives adopted by the leadership. The results revealed a high level of student awareness regarding university policies for rationalizing resource consumption (energy and water) in its facilities, with an average of (3.72). The researcher recommends establishing a committee or center for sustainability, integrating sustainability concepts into curricula, and enhancing student participation in activities related to sustainability.
الملخص
هدف البحث إلى التعرف على دور القيادات الجامعية في تعزيز مفهوم الاستدامة لدى طلاب الجامعة الإسلامية، ومدى معرفتهم بالمبادرات الوطنية ومبادرات الجامعة حول الاستدامة، ودور القيادات الجامعية في تغيير سلوكهم، ومعرفة إذا كان هناك فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين الطلاب السعوديين وغير السعوديين في السلوك او الوعي بالمبادرات، ووظف البحث المنهج الوصفي المسحي، واستخدم الاستبانة كأداة للبحث، وطُُبقت على عينة مكونة من (325) طالبًًا. خلصت نتائج الدراسة إلى أن هناك دوراًً إيجابياًً وفاعلاًً للقيادة الجامعية في تعزيز مفاهيم وممارسات الاستدامة، حيث حصل المحور العام على متوسط حسابي قدره (3.76) مما يشير إلى مستوى تقييم “مرتفع .» حصل دور الإدارة الجامعية القيادي في تشجيع السلوكيات المستدامة لدى الطلاب داخل الحرم الجامعي على المرتبة الثانية بمتوسط (3.81)، وهو ما يؤكد قناعة الطلاب بالممارسات والمبادرات الملموسة التي تتبناها القيادة. كشفت النتائج عن وعي طلابي مرتفع بسياسات الجامعة في ترشيد استهلاك الموارد (الطاقة والمياه) في مرافقها بمتوسط (3.72). ويوصي الباحث بإنشاء لجنة او مركز للاستدامة ودمج مفاهيم الاستدامة مع المقررات الدراسية، وتعزيز مشاركة الطلاب في الأنشطة المتعلقة بالاستدامة.
